EMERGENCY NOTIFICATION & INFORMATION
Community Emergency Response Team (CERT)
CERT educates community members about disaster prepardness for hazards that may impact their area and train them in basic repsonse skills such as fire safety, light search and rescue, team organization, and disaster medical operations. MAP YOUR NEIGHBORHOOD (MYN)
Map Your Neighborhood (MYN) is a program designed to help neighborhoods prepare for disasters and is highly recommended by Hermosa Beach Neighborhood Watch. In a disaster, traditional 9-1-1 First Responder capabilities such as fire, police, medics, and utility personnel will be overwhelmed and unable to immediately assist individuals. Preparing the your neighborhood is vital because neighbors will likely be the first ones to offer you assistance.
CodeRED - Emergency Notification
The CodeRED system gives city officials the ability to deliver pre-recorded emergency telephone notification/information messages to targeted areas or the entire city at a rate of up to 60,000 calls per hour.

Hermosa Beach Neighborhood Watch (HBNW)
The Hermosa Beach Neighborhood Watch Program, through the assistance and sponsorship of the
HBPD, HBFD and City of Hermosa Beach, works to actively seek, educate and
involve city residents, neighborhoods and communities in preparing our community for disaster preparedness for any type of emergency situation that may arise.

Earthquake Country Alliance
The Earthquake Country Alliance (ECA) is a statewide public-private partnership of people, organizations, and regional alliances that work together to improve earthquake preparedness, mitigation and resiliency. The ECA makes available videos, booklets and other information; and is the organizer for compaigns and events such as Dare to Prepare, Great California Shakeout and DROP! COVER! HOLD ON!.

Ready is a national campaign designed to educate and empower Americans to prepare for
and respond to emergencies including natural and man-made disasters. The goal of the campaign is
to get the public involved and ultimately to increase the level of basic preparedness across the nation.
The Ready compaign is sponsored by the Federal Emergency Management Agency - FEMA.

Marineland Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Plan Committee
A new Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Plan Committee has been formed in Marineland Mobilehome Park. The committee's purpose is to coordinate efforts related to disaster preparedness, emergency planning and emergency evacuation for Park residents. The MCAI Board is seeking volunteers to be part of Marineland Disaster Preparedness and Emergency Plan Committee. Volunteers will learn the skills and knowledge needed to provide neighbor-to-neighbor disaster preparedness and emergency evacuation assistance.

Marineland Emergency Preparedness and Evacuation Plan
